Geoscience Community Information Services and Resources Survey

The American Geosciences Institute desires to understand how the geoscience-centric libraries are used,  who composes the broader user community and the community’s awareness of their services.  AGI constructed a survey to investigate the awareness of geoscience-centric libraries and their services within the community, and evaluate that awareness relative to engagement of other major information and data sources.  One critical question for this study is whether there is a substantial portion of the geoscience community using the library services and  assets without being aware of their provenance.

About the Survey

Thank you for participating in our survey. It has four questions and will take about 1 minute of your time.

We want to learn about how familiar geoscientists are with certain information resources, services, and assets. We also want to understand how users access the information resources, services and assets.

If you have any questions regarding this study, please email Heather Houlton at hrh@americangeosciences.org.

This survey is completely voluntary. You can stop your participation at any time without penalty. Your answers will remain confidential and no identifying information will be reported. There is minimal risk to participants opting to complete the survey. Potential long-term benefits include increased access to information resources, services, and assets to the broader geoscience community.
